We're different! YouClimb is not just a mobile climbing wall operator.

We both enjoy personal climbing / bouldering and have experience in instructing beginners in the techniques of climbing. Operating a mobile climbing wall was a logical progression to bring the sport to many more people.

The majority of other climbing towers now use automatic belay systems (method of controlling the safety rope). We don't. Our safety system is the traditional method using qualified and experienced instructors to control the ropes manually.

The advantage of using the traditional method is a greater feeling of security and individual support (auto belays can't offer a boost from a tight rope). Although this means more staff requirements we feel that the personal instruction and support for each climber is worth it.

The traditional belaying method also allows us to offer progression for our climbers. Depending on the event we can teach participants how to belay safely, they can then under supervision belay each other. This progression gives a much more realistic experience of climbing techniques.
